This bass instrument has that desired "wind in the bamboo tone". Anyone can use it for blowing zen, mediative playing or other contemporary music. It is only limited by the player's skill and imagination. Because I am a repair person, I can offer fully functional instruments well below the market price and stand by them.

In 2002 I received the Japan United States Friendship Commission
to study shakuhachi making and playing in Japan under Kinya Sogawa, who apprenticed with Chikusen Tamai, who also trained many of the top professional shakuhachi makers in Japan. In 2014, I received the Asian Culture Council Award to continue my studies and research into the Edo Period flutes and Koten Honkyoku music in Japan.
