Those who are familiar with this model know this model as one the best splicers for high strength fiber splices.  In fact this model is still used for assembling fiber lasers by prominent fiber laser companies such as IPG Photonics.

This splicer was fully inspected and tested on 11/16/20 as following:
1- The total splice number is right now only 715. (see image 9)
2- The splicer’s body condition is excellent. You would not find any scratches on the body of splicer, nor on the screen.
3- Push buttons are working like brand new.
4- The cleaver is

very
consistently
with less than one
degree
angle at tip of fiber.
5- I inspected electrodes under microscope, both look flawless.
6- The power supply is tested.
7- I made a splice using single-mode SMF-28 fiber. The splices was completed flawless with loss of 0.05dB or less (see image 7 in this listing)
8- I left the splicer on for several hours to see if any electrical power shortage would occur. No difficulty was detected.
9- The heat oven was tested. It is working properly.
10- Hard carrying case looks like
