    The item for sale is a cut gemstone made from a  light green quartz called prasiolite.  This  type of quartz is scarce in nature but is now produced by treating purple amethyst with heat. The cut of the stone is round brilliant similar to a popular diamond cut.  There are many facets.  This produces a kaleidoscopic effect when the stone is viewed from the top. The gem is from jeweler's stock.  There are two tiny chips on the girdle of the stone.  These could be from mounting in jewelry.  The is no wear apparent. The diameter and height are 12 mm and 8 mm.
